Why we pick it

Works with
eBayVintedEtsyDepopTikTok Shop

Imports orders from eBay, Etsy and other marketplaces, buys postage and prints to a thermal printer. Use it for the orders where you choose the courier; the platform labels its own.

The guide

Each step in the order you'll need it.

01

Who Click & Drop suits

You post with Royal Mail and want to stop copying addresses by hand. Click & Drop is Royal Mail's free online tool: you pay for the postage, and it imports orders from linked marketplaces and shops.

It suits you on eBay, Etsy and Shopify, where you choose your own courier. Vinted and Whatnot orders usually come with a prepaid label from the platform, so you print those from the platform instead.

02

Integrations, CSV import and label sizes

Royal Mail lists integrations with eBay, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce and others, plus spreadsheet import for anything else. Imported orders arrive with the buyer's address and items, ready for you to add weight and service.

It prints labels at 100 x 150 mm for a thermal printer or on A4. Depending on the integration, Click & Drop can send tracking numbers back to the marketplace; Royal Mail's integration pages list what each channel supports.

03

Linking channels and printing the first batch

Create a Royal Mail business or Click & Drop account, link each channel under integrations, and set your default package size and service. Switch the label format to the thermal size if you own a label printer.

Run your day in one pass: import, weigh each parcel on a parcel scale, choose the service, then print every label as a batch. Drop the parcels at a Post Office or book a collection where Royal Mail offers one.

04

Parcel2Go or ShipStation in its place

Parcel2Go compares couriers, which helps for bulky parcels where Royal Mail may cost more. Its Smart Send tool also imports marketplace orders.

ShipStation suits you at dozens of parcels a day across several couriers, with one queue for every order, for a monthly fee.

Getting the postage price right

Click & Drop prices the size and weight you enter, so an accurate scale and box measurements decide what you pay. Royal Mail's current size guide sets the limits for each format.

Business accounts can open other pricing; Royal Mail's site shows what is available at your volume.

Common mistakes

Each one costs you money or reviews, and each has a fix.

  • Switch the label format from A4 to 100 x 150 mm, or a thermal printer wastes paper.
  • Guessed weights invite underpaid postage. Weigh every sealed parcel before you buy the label.
  • Printing Vinted orders through Click & Drop pays twice for postage, since Vinted provides its own label; print those from Vinted.
  • If tracking numbers fail to sync back, eBay orders show as undispatched, so check the marketplace after the first few batches.
