# Vinted

> Vinted opened in the US in January 2026 with no selling fees for sellers. Spend on a rail, steady light and a packing table, and ship the day an order comes in.

Vinted is a closet-clearing app: mostly clothing, shoes and accessories, listed by people selling what they no longer wear. Buyers expect fast shipping, so store each piece where you can grab it and pack it the same day.

After a sale, Vinted gives you a prepaid label or code for the carrier the buyer picked at checkout. Start with mailers and a clothes rail, and add a thermal label printer once you ship several orders a day.

## Selling on Vinted from home

You list an item with photos, a size and a price. The buyer pays through Vinted, and the money reaches your balance once they confirm the item arrived as described.

Clothing, shoes and bags make up most of the app, so a home setup centers on hanging, shooting and mailing garments.

## Photos that sell clothes

Shoot by a window in daylight against a plain wall or door. Show the whole piece flat or on a hanger, then close-ups of the size tag, fabric and any marks.

A clothes rail doubles as a photo spot and as storage. The same background in every listing makes your closet look consistent.

## Storing stock you can find

Hang pieces on a rail or fold them into labeled bins by size or type, and note the bin in your listing or a simple spreadsheet.

Keep listed items apart from unlisted ones, so a sale never turns into a search.

## Packing and labels

Most clothing ships in a poly or paper mailer. Shoes and bags need a box so they keep their shape.

If an order needs a printed label, a thermal printer prints it in seconds and saves ink once you ship several a day.

## Shipping on time

Vinted gives you a deadline to ship after each sale and can cancel the order if you miss it. The help center shows the current window.

Pack the day the order comes in and fit the drop-off into a trip you already make.

## Growing past the first 50 orders

Bundles mean fewer, bigger packages, so keep mailers in each size you sell.

Batch your photos and listings by item type. If you cross-list on Poshmark or eBay, mark an item sold everywhere the moment it goes.

## Common mistakes

- An unmade bed behind the clothes makes them look worn. Shoot against a plain wall or the rail.
- Folding shoes into a poly mailer crushes them, so use a box.
- Unsorted stock means hunting for items after they sell. Note a bin or rail spot for each listing.
- Missing the shipping deadline can cancel the sale, so pack and drop off the day an order arrives.
- Skipping close-ups of tags and flaws brings questions and returns. Show the size tag and any marks.

## Questions

### Does Vinted charge US sellers a fee?

No. Vinted launched in the US without selling fees, so you keep the item price. Buyers pay a Buyer Protection fee at checkout, and Vinted’s help center lists what it covers.

### Do I need a printer to sell on Vinted?

Not at first. Read the shipping instructions on each order, since some drop-offs take a code. Once you also sell on eBay or Poshmark, a thermal printer that takes 4 × 6 in labels covers all of them.

### Which mailers suit clothing?

Poly mailers are cheap, light and keep garments dry. Paper mailers cost more but suit a vintage closet whose buyers dislike plastic. Wrap the garment in tissue first either way.

### How does shipping work?

The buyer picks a shipping option and pays for it. You get a prepaid label or code, pack the item and drop it off within the time Vinted shows on the order.

### Can I sell new items or run a business on Vinted?

Vinted is built for people selling their own clothes. If you buy to resell, read Vinted’s terms on business sellers before you list.

### Should I offer bundles?

Yes. Buyers can take several of your items in one package and pay shipping once. Set a bundle discount in your settings and keep a few larger mailers on hand.
