# Vinted bundles: packing and postage

> Packing a Vinted bundle of vintage clothes into one parcel: weighing before you accept, folding to fit, and keeping the buyer’s chosen carrier happy.

Updated 6 October 2026

A Vinted bundle means three or four pieces, one buyer and one trip to the drop-off. A pile of knitwear also weighs more and folds bigger than any single listing, so bundles cause most postage problems.

Vinted buyers choose and pay for shipping at checkout, and your parcel has to match what they paid for. Follow the packing routine below to send a bundle in one go.

## Weigh the pile before you say yes

Once a bundle request arrives, pull the pieces off the rail and put them on a parcel scale together, with the bag you plan to use. Two wool coats and a pair of 1990s jeans can pass a standard size band on their own.

Vinted’s help centre lists the current parcel size limits by carrier. Compare the weighed pile with that page before you accept an offer.

## Fold flat, heaviest at the bottom

Fold each piece to the width of the mailing bag, with denim and coats at the bottom and silk or lace on top. Flat stacks compress, while rolled bundles bulge at the ends and split the bag's seams.

Wrap delicate vintage in tissue so a sequin top does not snag the jumper beneath it.

## Bag or box for a bundle

Soft bundles of tees and knitwear go in a large grey mailing bag. Anything with structure, like a leather jacket or a pair of boots, wants a single-wall box that holds its shape.

Vinted asks for packaging close to the size of what is inside. A half-empty box looks careless and can push you into a bigger size band than the buyer paid for.

## One parcel, one label

A Vinted bundle ships as one order with one label or QR code. Some carriers on Vinted, InPost among them, take a QR code at drop-off with no printed label.

Seal the bag, then attach the label flat across a single face. Scanners often miss a label folded over an edge.

## Pick drop-off by the carrier

The buyer’s checkout choice decides the carrier: Royal Mail, InPost, DPD or Evri, depending on what Vinted offers for that order. Check the order screen before you walk out the door.

Locker drop-offs suit soft bags; a large boxed bundle may not fit a locker slot, so a counter drop-off is safer.

## Note what each bundle weighed

Write the weight and bag size of every bundle in a notebook or on the listing notes. After ten bundles you will know roughly how many jumpers fit a band without weighing them all again.

With those notes you can answer the next bundle request in seconds.

## Checklist

- [ ] Weigh the whole bundle with its packaging before accepting
- [ ] Check Vinted’s size limits page for the buyer’s carrier
- [ ] Fold flat with heavy pieces at the bottom
- [ ] Tissue-wrap anything with sequins, lace or beading
- [ ] Box anything with structure
- [ ] Fix the label flat on one face
- [ ] Record the weight for next time

## Kit for this

- **[30 kg digital postal scale](https://sellersetups.com/product/parcel-scale-30kg)** (£12 to £20): Covers the parcels most home sellers ship, up to 30 kg. Choose it when the 40 kg scale is out of stock.
- **[Grey mailing bags, 10 x 14 in, 100 pack](https://sellersetups.com/product/grey-mailing-bags)** (£8 to £13): Self-seal poly bags add almost no weight, so a single garment posts as a small parcel. You can't see through the opaque grey film, and a label lies flat on it.
- **[Small single-wall boxes, 25 pack](https://sellersetups.com/product/single-wall-boxes)** (£8 to £14): Use these for boxed toys and beauty sets that a padded bag would crush, when double-wall board costs more than you need.
- **[Acid-free tissue paper, 100 sheets](https://sellersetups.com/product/tissue-paper)** (£7 to £11): A sheet of tissue costs pennies and changes how a £15 vintage shirt feels on arrival. Buyers mention it in reviews.
- **[Brown packing tape, 48 mm x 66 m, 6 rolls](https://sellersetups.com/product/brown-packing-tape)** (£5 to £9): 48 mm is the width tape guns take. Six rolls last a shop sending a few boxes a week for a few months.

## Setups

- [Spare-bedroom setup for a Vinted clothing seller](https://sellersetups.com/setups/vinted-vintage-spare-room): Rails, a packing table and a photo corner that let one person list, store and post 40 to 80 vintage garments a week.

## Questions

### How does postage work for a Vinted bundle?

The buyer pays one shipping price for the whole bundle at checkout, and you send everything in one parcel with one label or code.

### What if my Vinted bundle is too heavy?

Weigh it before accepting. If it is over the limit for the buyer’s carrier, suggest splitting it into two orders.

### Can I send a Vinted bundle in two parcels?

A bundle is one order with one label, so plan for one parcel. If it will not fit, split the bundle before the buyer pays.

### Which bag size suits a three-item clothing bundle?

Lay the folded pile on the bag before sealing. Most tee and knit bundles fit a large mailing bag; coats often need a box.

### Do I need a printer for Vinted bundles?

Not with every carrier. Some, including InPost, take a QR code at drop-off. Others need a printed label.
